1. Make sure your resume makes you excited when you read through it. It doesn’t need to be just a chronological history of where you’ve worked. It can be a fresh overview of your skills and talents - and it can highlight competencies you developed as a volunteer or church member. It should be fresh and updated, even if you’ve been at the same company for ten years.
